‘Tracks We Leave’
In commemoration of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on October 9th, 2010, a new palliative-care initiative ‘Tracks we leave’ was launched on Saturday at Kozhikode. This new palliative-care initiative attempts to mobilize mass public support by accepting small donations for bedridden patients. Enrolled members have to pledge a contribution of Rs.3/ day. P.B. Salim (District Collector – Kozhikode) inaugurated the program by accepting the first donation.
One of the most major and ambitious base building programs up to now at PPCS, we believe that ‘Tracks we leave’, will help those dependant on palliative-care activities in the district to get better help and treatment through with this new initiative. |
